June, 2009:

5th to 7th - The Battle of Stoney Creek, at Battlefield Park, Stoney Creek, Ontario. The advance of American troops, who reached Stoney Creek on June 5, 1813, was stopped in a daring night attack by 700 regulars of the 8th and 49th Regiments of Foot.

July, 2009:

24th to 26th - Wasaga Under Siege, Nancy Island, Wasaga, Ontario. A historical reenactment of a War of 1812 Military battle, hosted by the historic town of Wasaga. Events include Naval and Military battles, storytellers, 19th century suttlers and artisans and much more - including musical concerts throughout the weekend by various performers.

September, 2009:

4th to 6th - Fairfield Museum, located on the Longwoods Road (formerly Highway #2) half-way between Thamesville and Bothwell. After the Americans' victory under General Proctor at the Battle of the Thames, where Tecumseh was killed, the Americans on October 7, 1813 under General Harrison sacked then burned the village of Fairfield. The Delaware and the Moravians fled to Burlington Heights and there spent the winter of 1814. This event remembers those who were massacred there.
