First World War Canadian Infantry - Links

The following list will hopefully provide some useful links to other Internet sites concerning the Canadian Infantry during the Great War.

	Canadian Veterans Recollect A web site that pays tribute to Canadian WWI veterans, developed by Industry Canada. Listen to RealAudio interviews with vets (or print out transcripts). Also has a summary of WWI, complete with pictures.
	Courage Remembered Another excellent site sponsored by Industry Canada, which presents the role Canadian soldiers played in the two World Wars. Lots of personal memoirs, photographs, and art work by Canadian war artists. Also lists the exploits of Victoria Cross and George Cross recipients. A must see.
	Veterans Affairs Canada: Youth Site A very detailed multimedia site, with resources geared for students and teachers; covering various aspects of Canada's participation in WWI, WWII and other wars of the 20th century.
	Pte. "Red" Arnott In a series of articles, Tom Arnott tells of Canada's role in the war, and especially the exploits of his grandfather, "Red" Arnott who served with the 2nd Canadian Infantry Battalion in France and Belgium.
	The Canadian Great War Homepage An excellent overview of Canada's role in the Great War, catalogued into various topics. This web site is part of the Canadian Military Heritage Project, developed by Brian Massey and Lorine McGinnis Schulze.
	CEF Database Find a Canadian ancestor who was part of the Canadian Expeditionary Forces during WWI, using the National Archives of Canada's online research tool, ArchiviaNet.
	Bibliography of Canadian Military History An online bibliography of Regimental Histories located in the University of Calgary Library, which has a good collection of regimental history books, particularly for Canadian regiments. The purpose of this bibliography is to provide researchers with a working collection that will assist them in their studies.
	Black Watch Homepage Web site for a living history group that portrays the 13th Battalion Royal Highlanders of Canada during World War I. The unit is part of the Great War Historical Society (based in Southern California!).
	World War One - Trenches on the Web A growing web site, covering all aspects of the Great War. A little more Canadian content would be nice, but if that's your interest, check out the Second Battle of Ypres, April 1915. The entire web site is also available on CD-ROM (Windows PC) for $29.95 USD for unlimited classroom use.
