Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry
One of many online biographies of Commodore Perry, relief commander of the U.S. Brig Niagara during the Battle of Lake Erie. Web site also records the reconstruction of the Niagara (now on public display in Erie, PA), and has a transcript of the Battle from a ship's log kept by William Taylor, sailing master of the Lawrence.
